Hi Alyson,
It is a small world. That is great to hear - thank you! I'm so glad to hear you like it. I purchased one myself and wear it all the time!

Profile Information

What is a socially responsible organization?
A socially responsible organization is one that conducts itself in a ethical way and is aware of how it directly affects and makes a positive impact locally, nationally and globally.

Today, more than ever before, the planet is connected and exposed to issues where consumers are increasingly aware not only of what they buy, but the conditions in which they are produced.

To be an organization who stands by, that all its business endeavors and internal operations are conducted in a socially responsible way with its effect on humanity being #1, this credibility and respect alone will promote success.

This model needs to become the norm and actively promoted.
About me
I am very excited to learn about this social movement and the promotion of it by ASQ.

My direct exposure to this is a family owned fair trade business in Pewaukee, WI called Go Earth.

Go Earth supports artisans from developing countries by giving them a fair and living wage for their products. All suppliers are members of the Fair Trade Federation which must abide by the principles of the Federation.

Many of the artisans are small farmers, women's co-ops, elderly and disabled groups. The fair wages give them a chance to improve their lives, by providing more resources for food, shelter, health care and schools.
