Erica. I don't have a great memory for that but I know I've heard it spoken about in terms of people wanting to work with SR organizations, and a recent IBM CEO Study "The Enterprise of the Future" talks about how customers want to know how socially responsible companies...I have that in the notes I took from the presentation; But I also recall him talking about staff. I'll see if I can hunt it up.

What is a socially responsible organization?
Employee engagement is another key business interest of mine; I believe the two concepts are closely related. Assumption: An organization that demonstrates socially responsible behavior can expect employee engagement benefit which supports better business performance. Rationale: Business activities that have community and environmental benefit reflect concern for health and well-being, a primary driver of employee engagement. Engaged employees invest more discretionary effort in their work; presumably these businesses perform better, providing more opportunity for socially responsible business activity.
