What is a socially responsible organization?
For me, a socially responsible organization is one which looks past the financial statements to honestly make the communities and the natural world we all exist in as important as their economic bottom line. These organizations understand the betterment of the human and ecological spheres are very important to its long-term success, truly eating and breathing sustainability.
About me
Originally from Indiana, I moved to the Milwaukee-area in May of 2008 after I finished my undergrad in Environmental Management at Indiana University's School of Public & Environmental Affairs. I now work for Franklin Energy Services, implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. I am a strong advocate for ideas and actions of sustainability and am constantly looking for ways to become more involved with this movement. It is very exciting to see such an initiative from the city of Milwaukee, and I am anxious to see where we go from here.
