What is a socially responsible organization?
To me, the responsibilities included in being socially conscious are broad. In general, I truly believe that to be completely socially conscious, any organization must be wholly considerate, meaning that every internal business decision that is made must first be weighed in terms of positive repercussions, in accompaniment with any possible negative repercussions. Both are equally important in my book. For me personally, as well as business speaking, I feel I must state that the Golden Rule need always apply. I can go further by frankly stating that "If one does dirt, one gets dirt."
This is an expression that everyone involved with my business always keeps in mind and/or verbalizes frequently. It is a karma thing really. It is imperative that we all take responsibility regarding social consciousness, no matter whether it be business or personal; simply in general.
About me
First, I can wholeheartedly state that I AM the aforementioned paragraph regarding social consciousness. I am a BIG believer in Karma, and I firmly believe that more people need to learn how to be givers, rather than takers more so. I absolutely LOVE my dog, my family, and am extremely passionate about my fashion business. Through hard work, my business allows me the opportunity to continuously create fabulous, fresh, and edgy pieces; but it also provides me a vehicle through which to help others as well. Both facets are equally important to me. Most of the time, 14-17 hour work days don't negatively affect me, as long as the end result continues to be the aforementioned. :)
