ASQ Seeks Public Input on Draft ISO 2600: Guidance on Social Responsibility
ISO 26000 Comments Template.doc Use this form to provide YOUR input to the Draft ISO 26000 Standard. You'll be asked to register to read it. The latest version of the standard was released September 14 under the governing body International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in Geneva, Switzerland. While the standard is not easy reading, it can be enlightening in terms of how the US TAG (Technical Advisory Group) and the international Standards Bodies are looking at SR. It's a monumental task, in my opinion, to create a standard that all involved countries agree to follow. And while it doesn't require certification, and is only a guidance standard, the words used need to be agreed upon. And, to Erica's point in her post yesterday, the standard is much broader than environmental. Imagine the conversation around human rights and labor practices...So this is a chance for you, an individual, to weigh in on an important document.
