TheSRO* - The Socially Responsible Organization

When I joined the SRO, I began to think that SRO was for socially responsible organizations. How about Individuals? How about becoming socially conscious of resources, energy, and rejuvenation? Most importantly, how about begin practicing social responsibility starting right now?

Michelle Mason, MD at ASQ, the brain behind this SRO immediately responded, "the O in SRO also stands not just for the organization but for Socially Responsible ONE as well". Bingo! I want to be that ONE who can make a difference individually. I invite all other Individuals to share here what they are doing to become socially responsible. Only individuals create organizations when come together.

Now that's Socially Responsible 'O'.
Ciao!

I want to throw a bigger challenge. As I travel through various parts of the world, I see different things that remind me of the necessity of being green. Plastic, Poly.... etc. Especially memorable are the heaps of empty bottles and bags. I have a thought of forming an NGO that works with local agencies to remove such dumps from the streets using sweepers, vacuum pickers, etc. May be there are already such organizations working. If yes, I want to know and connect with them. What do you say? See this picture which highlights the need for being really SRO.
